Apple has just launched the eagerly waiting Apple Watch Ultra 2, the successor to last year’s Watch Ultra, which comes with a set of new features and improvements. The Ultra 2 introduces the powerful S9 SiP, a new double-tap gesture, a brighter display, an extended altitude range, and more.
The Watch Ultra 2 boasts an Always-On Retina display with a maximum brightness of 3000 nits, making it 50 percent brighter than its predecessor and the brightest display ever created by Apple. It runs on watchOS 10, which offers a range of redesigned apps, introduces the new Smart Stack feature, enhances cycling experiences, and includes features designed to enhance outdoor exploration.
The powerful S9 SiP in the Watch Ultra 2 delivers systemwide improvements and introduces the innovative double-tap gesture. Users can now effortlessly control their Ultra 2 with a simple double tap of the index finger and thumb, making common actions quicker and more convenient.
The watch has undergone rigorous testing for use in extreme environments, with altitudes ranging from 500 meters below sea level to a 9,000 meters.
For the first time, Siri requests can be processed directly on the Watch Ultra 2, providing quicker and more reliable responses for tasks like starting a workout or setting a timer. Siri can also access and log health data from the Health app, allowing users to effortlessly track their progress and make health-related inquiries.
