Google’s new search enhancements: AI-Generated images and draft assistance: Google has announced innovative enhancements to its search experience, aiming to provide users with more creative tools. These new features include the ability to generate images and receive assistance with written content.
Image Creation with AI Google now offers the capability to create images using its AI-powered search experience. For instance, if you want to design an image of a capybara sporting a chef’s hat while cooking breakfast, you can search for it, and Google’s AI will present up to four generated images.
You can also customize the image by editing its description. Those participating in this experiment can directly create AI-generated images within Google Images when seeking inspiration.
Introducing the “About this Image” Tool Google will soon introduce an “About this image” tool to help users assess the context and credibility of images.
This feature aligns with Google’s commitment to using AI responsibly. Safeguards are being implemented to prevent the generation of harmful or misleading images. Each AI-generated image will be equipped with metadata and watermarking to indicate its AI origin.
Written Drafts with SGE Google is introducing the ability to create written drafts using SGE (Search-generated content).
This feature is valuable when you need to condense text or adjust its tone, particularly useful for drafting notes, emails, or documents. Google ensures the privacy protections of Google Workspace when exporting drafts to Google Docs or Gmail.
Availability The image generation feature is currently available in English for users in the United States who are 18 years and older and have opted into the SGE experiment. Written drafts are gradually rolling out in English for SGE experiment participants in the U.S.
