Apple’s iPhone and iPad are the most convenient devices for many people. It is a favorite device for many users, and most of their time is spent on these devices because of its usability, features, and form factor.
If finding time to read articles online is a challenge, Safari’s “Listen to Page” feature in iOS 17 could be your solution. Now, you can listen to articles while on the go, and here’s a guide on how to use it.
To use Safari’s Listen to Page feature:

- Open the article: Launch Safari and open the article you want Siri to read.
- Access Listen to Page: Tap the Aa icon in the address bar and choose “Listen to Page” from the pop-up menu.
- Start Listening: Siri will begin reading the article, and a speaker icon will appear in the address bar.
- Control Options: Tap the speaker icon and select “Listening Controls” to access options like pause/resume, skip sentences, adjust speaking rate, and end the session.
iOS also provides playback controls on the lock screen for easy access. If you’re not a fan of Siri’s voice, you can change it in your iPhone settings.
Alternatively, you can use Siri directly by saying commands like “Hey Siri, read this!” or “Hey Siri, I want to listen to this page.” Once Siri starts, you can manage playback with the mentioned controls.
Why Use It? The ability to listen to web content hands-free is a convenient addition to Safari. Whether you’re driving or occupied with other tasks, Siri’s clear reading makes catching up on articles effortless.
